Reference Function Coefficients

The general form for the emf E (mV) as a function of T90 (°C) is: T90 (°C) as a function of the emf (E) (mV)

Notes: Six of thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, N, T) have two reference functions for different temperature ranges, while Type R and S have three temperature regions.


For Type K thermocouples above 0 °C, there is an additional term to account for a magnetic ordering effect: T90 (°C) as a function of the emf (E) (mV)

where constants a0, a1, and a2 are: a0 = 0.118597600000 *100, a1 = -0.118343200000*10-3, a2 = 0.126968600000x10*103
